Che Bella Custom Framing is a custom picture framing shop on Upper Front Street in Binghamton, New York. It is owned and operated by Jeffery zu Hone. Che Bella Custom Framing began life as Allstate Glass. The company was established by Joseph D. Gaetani, a union glazier with over 45 years of industry experience. In 1986, his son, Michael Gaetani, joined the company as an apprentice.
Che Bella Custom Framing opened in 1999 as an additional component to Allstate Glass, which has been servicing the Southern Tier’s commercial and residential glass needs for over 28 years. At that time, the shop called Allstate Glass and Picture Gallery and was located in the Northgate Plaza, across the street. Jeff zu Hone was hired in 2003 as a part-time framing apprentice while studying art in college. Jeff earned his Associates in Arts from Broome Community College in 2004 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ithaca College in 2006. Meanwhile, in 2005, Joe retired and Michael became owner of the company. Michael then moved the shop to it’s current location. Jeff became framing manager in 2009. In June 2018, Jeff was able to purchase the frame shop from Michael. Now the companies are separated, but still work with each other
